Daniel Finishes In 17th Place In 5,000M

EUGENE - Texas Tech senior All-American Leigh Daniel finished in 17th place in the women's 5,000 meters on Saturday night at the NCAA Track and Field Championships being held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Daniel recorded a time of 16:28.63 while the NCAA Champion Lauren Fleshman of Stanford finished the race with a time of 15:52.21. The 5,000 meters was the final race of the meet in which Texas Tech was competing.
