LUBBOCK, Texas - On Wednesday, August 22 at 7 p.m. CT, Texas Tech head volleyball coach Jeff Nelson will make a special visit to the ESPN.com moderated chat room to talk about the upcoming season.

Nelson begins his seventh season at the helm of the Red Raider program. Nelson has guided Tech to a 134-68 overall record and has led Tech to four twenty-plus win seasons.

During his tenure at Tech, Nelson has signed the top recruiting classes in school history and his teams are well respected in the rugged Big 12 Conference. Last season, Nelson led his squad to a 24-9 record andthe school's seventh post-season appearance in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

The Red Raiders return 12 lettermen this season including five starters and be a serious force in the Big 12 race in 2001.
