LUBBOCK, Texas - To establish some familiarity to gameday surroundings, the Texas Tech Red Raiders split time today, practicing on the grass practice fields and moving to the artificial turf of Jones SBC Stadium for team drills.
The special teams got a head start on the turf, taking advantage of the empty field before the full squad moved to the artificial surface an hour and a half into the workout. The Red Raiders worked on individual position drills and technique during the first session on the grass.
The Red Raiders will work out Thursday at 3 p.m.
