Season Opener Postponed

LUBBOCK, Texas - The 2002 Texas Tech baseball season opener has been postponed until Friday due to an overnight snowstorm that hit the Lubbock metro area.

Texas Tech and BYU will play a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday with the second game following 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first.

Texas Tech fans holding tickets for Thursday's game can redeem them on Friday afternoon for admission to the doubleheader.

Weather conditions for Friday are expected to be clear with high temperatures in the lower 60's while Saturday's conditions are expected to be clear highs in the lower 70's.
