Kingsbury Sets Even More Records
- Texas Tech Senior Quarterback Kliff Kingsbury became the first college quarterback in Texas history to reach 10,000 career passing yards. He joins an elite group of just 19 players in NCAA history that have accomplished this feat.
- Kingsbury also reached the 10,000 yard mark in total offense as he entered the game with 9,758 yards of total offense.
- Kingsbury tallied his 1,000th career completion with 6:41 remaining in the first quarter when he hit sophomore Nehemiah Glover on a 35-yard touchdown strike.
- Kingsbury surpassed his own school record for passing yards in a game as he tallied xxx passing yards against Missouri. Kingsbury set the record earlier this season when he passed for 474 yards against Texas A&M at Kyle Field in College Station.
Paige Moves Up On The Charts
Senior Anton Paige moved up on the career receiving touchdown list at Texas Tech when he caught a 13-yard TD pass from Kliff Kingsbury on the opening drive of the game. He is also tied for fourth on the single-season touchdown reception list with seven.
Lighting Up The Scoreboard
With tonight's final point total of xxxx, Texas Tech has now scored 40+ points in five games this season. The Red Raiders tallied five games last season with 40+ points.
Glover Has Career Night
Sophomore Nehemiah Glover picked up his fifth career touchdown pass and his fourth of the season when he caught a 35-yard strike from Kingsbury with 6:41 remaining in the first quarter. Glover recorded his first multiple touchdown game of his career when he caught his second touchdown of the game with 6:23 remaining in the second quarter (8-yard strike from Kingsbury). Glover finished the game with xxxx touchdown receptions.
First Big 12 Win Over Missouri
Texas Tech recorded its first win over Missouri in Big 12 play as the Tigers won in both 1998 and 1999. The last Red Raider win over Missouri prior to tonight's game was on Sept. 16, 1995 when Tech beat the Tigers 41-14 in Lubbock. The series between the two schools is now tied at 1-1.

- Tonight's attendance of 42,781 is a season high.
- The Homecoming victory over Missouri gives Texas Tech a record of 43-27-3 in Homecoming games.
- Texas Tech announced its Homecoming King & Queen in a pregame ceremony. The 2002-03 Homecoming Queen is Laura Snider and the Homecoming King is Anthony Contreras.
- Senior placekicker Robert Treece is now in the Top 10 on the career field goals list with 21. He is currently tied for 10th place with Jarret Greaser.
- Redshirt Freshman runningback Taurean Henderson picked up his second touchdown of the game on Tech's first drive of the third quarter giving him his second multiple rushing touchdown game of the season. He tallied two rushing TD's in the game against North Carolina State earlier this year.
