Four Red Raiders Named to All-Tournament Team

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - It is said that to the victor goes the spoils. In winning the 2002 Troy Cox Classic Tech had a tournament high four players, Kristi Robles, Britney Stolle, Esmerelda Perez and Rebecca Eimen, named to the All-Tournament team Sunday afternoon.
Stolle had a big game against #17 Florida State as in the second game she was 2-for-2 as a pinch hitter driving in the game tying run in the seventh and the game winning run in the ninth. For the tournament she batted .375 with three doubles, four RBIs and a run scored.
Eimen also showed offensive punch belting her second and third homeruns of the season, her previous high for a season was two round trippers. Her first four-bagger came in the first game against Dayton, a two run shot to left, while her third blast of the season was a solo shot in the bottom of the sixth against New Mexico State. Her numbers for the classic were six hits, a double, two homers, three RBIs and a team-high seven runs scored.
Perez did her damage early and often going 4-for-4 with three stolen bases against the Flyers in game one and reaching base in all six games. She batted .300 with six hits as well as played solid defense.
Robles was consistent throughout the Troy Cox Classic batting at a .450 clip and extending her current hitting streak to 10 games. For the tournament she was 9-for-20 with three doubles, a team-high seven RBIs and five runs scored.
