Red Raiders fall in Semifinals of HEB Invitational

CORPUS CHRISTI, Tex. - The Texas Tech men's tennis team fail to reach the finals of the HEB Invitational falling to the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee 4-0. The 22nd ranked Blue Raiders tied a school record for the best start in school history by improving to 12-0.
The doubles team of Alfonso Perez and Michael Innerebner defeated Middle Tennessee's Trevor Short and Rishan Kuruppu 8-6, however, the Red Raiders could not capitalize losing the doubles point. When the match was called after Middle Tennessee got its fourth win, Tech was leading the last three matches.
The Red Raiders will return to home to play Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on March 14th at 6 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center.
