Lubbock, TX - The Red Raider men were lead by a strong 1st place finish from sophomore Rob Kalescky, who experienced his first college win today. Teammate Joseph McCellon ran a close second while the rest of the men's team had a good outing with 3 of the remaining 4 runners finishing in the Top10.
The Red Raider women were lead by junior Bridget Tidwell who placed 2nd in today's event. The rest of the women's team was not far behind with the 4 remaining runners finishing in the Top 8.
Coach Wes Kittley commented that the Red Raider Open, "was a good beginning... and was the right amount of competition, " for his runners. The Tech Cross Country team will be in action again September 14 at the University of New Mexico.
