- Redshirt freshman running back Taurean Henderson picked up his first career rushing touchdown on Tech's opening drive.
- North Carolina State's 98-yard scoring drive in the first quarter is the longest drive given up by the Red Raider defense this season. The previous longest drive was a 96-yard scoring drive by Ohio State in the season opener on Aug. 24.
