I think all of my teammates will agree with the fact that this was a tiring week. We began the week with workouts to take on #5 Nebraska. At 6'1'', most of the time I feel pretty tall. Well, after 3 conference games, I've discovered I'm not so tall, especially compared to Nebraska. My other discovery is that Nebraska really is a great team, but I think their uniform has something to do with their record. I'm just a freshman, had never seen Nebraska play until Wednesday, and I know just the thought of them made me nervous. I don't think that was the case for the starters, but I do feel it made them anxious and rendered them unable to play to their actual ability.
We then left Friday evening to travel to Lawrence, Kansas, to meet up with the Jayhawks. Without a doubt, this should have been our game. I know what we are capable of because I see it in practice. We just have to take those abilities on the court every time we play, and right now that isn't happening. It's back to Kansas this Wednesday to take on Kansas State, which I don't mind because it reminds me of home with all of the trees. I'm not looking forward to the plane ride, but I am looking forward to a win!
Don't forget about the Saturday game vs. Missouri! See you there!
