Tech Volleyball To Host Kansas

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball team will host Kansas (10-5, 2-2) tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena for its second conference match of the week. Tech (8-6, 0-5) is coming off a 1-3 loss to Iowa State.
Junior Kelly Johnson leads the team with 275 kills and 21 service aces as well as holds a team second best .260 hitting average. Defensively, junior Jessy Herrera holds a team high 189 digs while sophomore Jessica Watson is responsible for 31 blocks on the season.
Tech is 12-3 with Kansas including beginning the series on a 7-0 win streak. Last season was the first time in school history that the teams split the season series with Tech notching season sweeps every year except in 1999 when the Jayhawks took both matches.
Fans who present a ticket to the Texas Tech vs. Texas A&M football game will receive free admission. First serve will be at 1 p.m.
