Kendall Brooks and Irina Tereschenko Compete in All-American Championships

LUBBOCK, Texas - Two members of the Lady Raiders tennis squad competed in the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships Qualifying Doubles round yesterday, Oct. 7, in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Kendall Brooks and Irina Tereschenko, co-captains of the Texas Tech women's tennis team, fell to their opponents in round one.
Brooks and Tereschenko were bumped out of competition by Nicole Havlicek and Catherine Lynch, from the University of California, 8-6. Tereschenko was also defeated this weekend in the pre-qualifying singles competition by Erin Hoe of Washington, 6-4, 6-2.
Brooks and Tereschenko will remain in California to play in a consolation match and will not compete at this weekend's tournament at the Air Force Academy Invitational, Oct. 10-12.
