
Stratton Picks Up All-America Honor

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech true freshman linebacker Brock Stratton (San Antonio, Texas) has been selected to The Sporting News Freshman All-America Second Team, announced today by the national publication.
Stratton is currently second on the team with 83 tackles, including five for loss. He also has an interception, 57 solo tackles, one and half sacks and a fumble recovery. He finished the regular season ranks seventh nationally among the nation's freshman defenders.
Stratton is in his first season of competition after spending the previous two years on a Mormon Church mission. Prior to this season, Stratton's last appearance on a football field came during his senior season in 2000 at Roosevelt High School in San Antonio.
