Men's Tennis On The Road at Albuquerque This Weekend

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team will travel to Albuquerque, N.M. this weekend to play Illinois State Feb.15 and New Mexico Feb. 16. After the previous match this week, Texas Tech now has a record of 2-1 and has moved up a spot in the rankings from 59th to 58th according to the ITA Tennis poll of February 12.
"These are two very important matches coming up," said head coach Tim Siegel. "One, because they are the next two, but also because they are the two before going on the road for conference. New Mexico has beaten us three years in a row; they are a really tough team to beat, especially in their bubble. Illinois State is good too."
Illinois State holds a record of 5-2 and New Mexico is currently 4-2 and ranked 63rd as they head into competition this weekend.
Both matches are set to begin at 2 p.m. CT.
