Men's Tennis Team Travels To California

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team will be traveling to San Diego, CA to play the University of California-Santa Barbara on March 28 and the University of San Diego on March 29. The matches will start at 3 p.m. CT and 2:30 p.m. CT, respectively. The No. 65 Red Raiders currently hold a record of 13-2 for the season and 3-1 in Big 12 play.
"We have put ourselves in the position to make the NCAA tournament," said head coach Tim Siegel. "Us doing well this weekend will increase our chances and our guys know what is at stake. We are playing two very good teams, including San Diego who is ranked No. 29. The next five teams we play are all going to be ranked."
UC-Santa Barbara is 7-5 for the season, with one more match before they meet Texas Tech. The University of San Diego is nationally ranked No. 29 and has a record of 10-4, also with one more match before facing the Red Raiders.
The Red Raiders will continue to be on the road as they travel to College Station to play No. 10 Texas A&M on April 4 and to Austin to meet No. 17 Texas on April 5.
