Raiders Battle the Bears on Saturday Afternoon

Lubbock, TX - The Red Raiders travel to Waco for their final conference game of the season on Saturday afternoon in an ESPN regionally televised contest. Tip-off at the Ferrell Center is set for 3:00 p.m.
The Raiders are 16 - 10 overall and 6 - 9 in Big 12 Conference action after their 65 - 56 home loss to Kansas on Monday night. KU's Keith Langford led all scorers with 20 points. Andre Emmett added 16 points and nabbed 3 steals. Kasib Powell had his second double-double of the season with 10 rebounds and 10 points.
Baylor is 13 - 13 for the season and 4 -11 in Big 12 Conference play. The two teams last met on January 18 in the United Spirit Arena. The Raiders held a 41 - 31 edge at the half and finished with a home conference win 80 - 64. Kasib Powell led all scorers with 26 points.
Saturday's game will be regionally televised by ESPN. Fred White will call the play-by-play action and Paul Splittorff will provide the analysis of the game.
Jack Dale in his 50th year of broadcasting will handle the play-by-play calls on the All Sports Radio Network. Michael Lewis, former Coach Knight player, will provide courtside analysis.
The first round of the 2003 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament begins on Thursday, March 13 in Dallas at the American Airlines Center. Seeding for the tournament will be completed this week-end.
