
Cross Country Names 11 to Academic All-Big 12 Team

DALLAS, Texas - The 2004 Texas Tech cross country team has named 11 of its student-athletes to the 2004 Academic All-Big 12 Team. To be considered for first-team status a student athlete must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher. For placement on the second-team, a GPA of 3.0 is required.
Representing the men's squad on the first-team are Pedro Vargas with a 4.0 in pre-medicine, Adam Lawless, a marketing major and Benson Cheserek, an exercise and sport science major. Nick Eyhorn, an accounting major, was the lone Red Raider to qualify for second-team honors.
Named on the women's side were Abby Schubert with a 4.0 in exercise and sport science, Kelly Blikre, an English major, Stefanie Calhoun, a business major, Anna Hagood, majoring in apparel design and manufacturing, Irene Kimaiyo, a pre-pharmacy major, Bridget Tidwell, majoring in business and Brionne Yosten, a math and chemical engineering major.
