Lubbock, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis squad will travel to Houston this weekend, March 12-14, for the Rice Invitational. After coming off a 4-1 loss to South Alabama, Tech looks to get back on track.
The Red Raiders will face tough competition as they take on 75th-ranked Memphis on Friday at 9 a.m., No. 59 Virginia Tech on Saturday at 12 p.m. and sixth-ranked Rice on Sunday at noon. Tech Coach Tim Siegel views the invitational as an opportunity to continue to improve and grow as a team.
"I am looking forward to the competition this weekend. Our team is competing well and this will be a great challenge," Siegel said. "Our team is young and this will be an opportunity for us to continue to improve and grow as a team."
After the Rice Invitational, Tech (7-3) returns to the courts to host Louisiana-Lafayette March 19.
