- Today's shutout marked the second shutout of the season for the Tech pitching staff but was the first nine-inning gem. Tech shutout Air Force in a seven-inning game back on March 7. The nine-inning shutout was the first since Tech beat Kansas State 15-0 on April 6, 2002.
- Texas Tech has now played five consecutive Big 12 games without a fielding error. Tech's last fielding error in a Big 12 game came against Texas in the first game of a doubleheader on April 3.
- Michael Mask's home run in the eighth inning was his 10th of the season. Tech now has two players with 10 or more home runs on the year (Josh Brady and Mask).
- Tech's 3-0 win was the lowest scoring win by Texas Tech since the Red Raiders defeated TCU 2-1 in the Astros College Classic back on Feb. 7, 2002.
- Texas Tech improved to 2-1 in televised games this season and have won two-straight. Today's game was televised by the Red Raider Sports Television Network.
- Four Red Raiders now tally hitting streak of over six games....Cameron Blair (8)...Jose Delgado, Josh Brady and Josh Haney each have seven game streaks.
- Texas Tech will be going for its second three-game series sweep of the season tomorrow afternoon against Kansas State. Tech's only other three-game sweep came in the season opener as the Red Raiders swept Campbell (18-1, 19-4 and 9-4).
