- Texas Tech's 4-3 win over Baylor coupled with Missouri's 9-5 win over Oklahoma State moves the Red Raiders into a tie for third place in the Big 12 standings with the Cowboys. Texas Tech needs just one more win to finish no lower than fourth place in the final league standings.
- Cody Fuller's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth was Tech's fourth last at-bat win this season and the second in Big 12 play.
- In the last five games, Fuller has a .588 batting average (10-for-17) with nine RBI and is hitting .833 (5-for-6) with runners in scoring position.
- Texas Tech improved to 5-1 in televised games this season. Tech is 4-1 on the Red Raider Sports Television Network and 1-0 on CSTV (College Sports Television).
- Texas Tech has now won four straight games dating back to the second game of the Oklahoma State series on May 15.
- Junior first baseman Josh Brady took over the Big 12 stolen base lead as he swiped three bags on the evening. He moves past Matt Baty who has 26 on the season and did not steal any tonight against Kansas State.
