Red Raider Volleyball Scrimmage Set For Saturday

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Volleyball will be hosting its first intrasquad scrimmage this Sat., Aug. 28, at 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come out and see all of the old and new faces of this year's squad as they take to the court for their first scrimmage of the season. The Red Raiders begin their season next Fri., Sept. 3, at the San Diego State Tournament in San Diego, Calif. Tech will face tournament host San Diego State, UC Santa Barbara and Wichita State. The following weekend Tech fans can come out and see the team at home at the Red Raider Roundup Sept. 10-11. Tech will face North Texas, UTEP and UT-Pan American. This will be Tech's last tournament of the non-conference schedule before starting Big 12 play Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. against Oklahoma. This weekend's scrimmage will be held in the practice gym of the United Spirit Arena, which is located at the north end of the building, on court level. Fans are advised to park in the north parking lot of the arena and enter in through the lower north doors located under the stairs.
