LUBBOCK, Texas - "I can't believe our first tournament is already over. Going to San Diego was an awesome start to this year. We played some tough competition and hopefully everyone learned some things we need to work as individuals and as a team. As for the trip, we got a chance to go to the beach, layout, and did some shopping after we finished the tournament on Saturday. While on the trip, everyone learned a little something about riding in our coach Doug Babington's van. If you ride in the front your job is to be the van DJ and make sure that the music is loud enough to drown out the singing of Robyn Bucy and I. All in all, it was a fun way to start off the year.
It seems now that the season has started it is just flying by since we finished two-a-days. When we return home we will return to our regular schedule of practices with weights twice a week.
This coming week of practice should be very productive to get ready for our home tournament. We will probably be working on better communication and playing more as a team rather than individuals. Our obvious goal is to win our home tournament.
I know we will be ready to play, especially since it will be our first matches at home this year. Hope to see a bunch of you fans this weekend to support us. Go Tech!"
