Free Parking Announced for Red Raider Basketball Season

Texas Tech athletics department officials announced today that a free parking area has been added to the parking plan for the 2005-2006 men's and women's basketball seasons.
The new area west of the arena will accommodate parking for 850 vehicles.
The lot, located beyond the PSL parking area west of the arena, will contain 850 spaces and will be available on a first-come basis. Fans also are encouraged to continue to use the Park & Ride area at
Personal Seat License (PSL) holders will continue to park in the PSL lots west of the arena and

PSL and Paid Parking will remain the same as it has in previous years.
FREE PARKING
850 NEW PARKING SPACES HAVE BEEN ADDED FOR THE 2005-2006 SEASON.
Fans are encouraged to park in the new free parking spaces, as Park & Ride will run on a more limited basis this year. Access to the free parking area can only be obtained by traveling North on Indiana, crossing 19th Street, and following the Texas Tech Parkway, or by traveling South on Indiana, crossing Brownfield Highway, and turning right on the Texas Tech Parkway.

This will be the only scrimmage prior to the opening game against San Jose State in the Coaches versus Cancer Classic on November 10. All PSL and season tickets holders have received their tickets and should use the ticket marked "GAME 1" which features the tenth anniversary logo of the Big 12 Conference.
All Texas Tech students with proper student ID will be admitted free of charge. General Admission tickets to the scrimmage can be purchased for a cash donation with proceeds being donated to a hurricane relief organization.
The Raiders begin the 2005-2006 season with a roster featuring fifteen players. The squad is comprised of six juniors, two sophomores, and seven freshmen.
