LUBBOCK, Texas - With a 922 tournament score, the No.43 Texas Tech women's golf squad turned in its fourth top-10 finish of the year with a tenth-place finish at the Central District Classic in Parrish, Fla. The Lady Raiders, who were as high as seventh overall on the leaderboard over the two-day event, were led by the senior leadership of Megan Hull who carried the Raiders throughout the tournament.

Hull (76-71-78-225) finished the classic nine-over par while carding a 19th-place tie with the effort. Hull tied her lowest-round of her career with a 71 in the second, while tallying her 12th top-20 finish as a Lady Raider.

Following the senior was fellow senior Kim Kolb (76-78-75-229) in a tie for 30th. Kolb was followed by freshman Valerie Tan (77-76-80-233), senior Sheila Mendez (85-75-78-238) and sophomore Marla Troester (82-85-85-252). Tan ended the effort tied for 44th, while the remaining Lady Raiders, Mendez and Troester, finished tied for 54th and 73rd, respectively.

Taking the tournament title were the Lady Tigers of No.13 Missouri, who held the top spot over three rounds before taking first with an 879 tournament score. Rounding out the top five on the leaderboard were No.20 Arkansas (881-second), No. 44 Baylor (892-third), No.14 Louisiana State (897-fourth) and No.23 Michigan (899) in fifth.

Tech will have a long break from the greens before returning to play in a full calendar for March that features back-to-back weeks of competition. Tech will be back in action at the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas, March 11-13.
