Men's Tennis Heads to Abilene for Four Matches

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's tennis team will head to Abilene for four matches in three days. The Red Raiders will face Hardin Simmons Thurs., Feb. 10 at 3 p.m. On Fri., Feb. 11 Tech will face Oral Roberts at 9 a.m. and Centenary at 2 p.m. To wrap up the weekend they will hit the courts again Sat., Feb. 12 at noon to face Abilene Christian.
"This will be a good opportunity for all of our team to play before things get heated up next weekend," stated head coach Tim Siegel. "I am looking forward to the challenge of playing four matches in three days." Coach Siegel will not be traveling with the team this weekend because his wife will be giving birth on Fri., Feb. 11.
Texas Tech comes off of a great match against Texas Southern last Thurs., Feb. 3, 2005. The Raiders swept Texas Southern 7-0 at the McLeod Tennis Center.
The Red Raiders will come home to face Abilene Christian a second time at the McLeod Tennis Center on Wed., Feb. 16 at 6 p.m.
