Tech Notches New Student Athlete to 2005 Team

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech volleyball head coach Nancy Todd announced today the addition of NLI Signee Jamye Pauley of Victoria, Texas, to next year's volleyball squad. Pauley joins Tech after finishing up a two year stint at San Jacinto Junior college.
"Jamye will be bringing a lot experience to the team and is a great addition to the 2005 squad," said Todd. "I am looking forward to having her as a Red Raider!"
Pauley, before playing in the junior college ranks, had an outstanding career at Memorial High School in Victoria, Texas. There Pauley was named to the Hutto High School Volleyball Tournament All-Tournament team, 28-5A All-District Honorable Mention, and was the dig leader for the Memorial High School Volleyball team her junior year.
Her senior year, Pauley was named MVP of the Memorial High School varsity volleyball team, 29-5A Outstanding Hitter, All-District Academic team, TGCA All-State Academic Team, First Team Victoria Advocate Area middle blocker, Second Team All-State Texas Sports Writers and All-State Team 5A.
Pauley ended her career in the record books at Memorial High School as second in kills (553), second in aces (110), second in digs (518) and fourth in blocks (220).
At San Jacinto Junior College Pauley earned Region 14 Honorable Mention honors her freshman year. Her sophomore year, and final year at San Jacinto, the NLI Signee was named to the Lee Jr. College Tournament All-Tournament team, Region 14 All-Conference Team and Region 14 Regional-Tournament Team
The Texas Tech women's volleyball team will officially begin their fall season September 2-3, at the SMU Tournament in Dallas, Texas.
