LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Football will make its first television appearance of the season when it faces the Nebraska Cornhuskers at 3 p.m. Sat., Oct. 8, on TBS, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday. Subscribers to Cox Communications in Lubbock can view the game on channel 17, while those outside of Lubbock should check their local listings.
Texas Tech (3-0) faces Kansas on Saturday in Lubbock, before traveling to Lincoln next week to play Nebraska (3-0), who hosts Iowa State this weekend. The game will mark the first road game of the season for the Red Raiders, while it will be the fifth-straight home game for the Huskers.
Although the overall series weighs 7-1 in Nebraska's favor, the Red Raiders shocked the Cornhuskers with a 70-10 win in Lubbock last season to pick up their first series victory. The loss was the worst in the storied history of the NU program.
Other games selected for broadcast next weekend include: Kansas at Kansas State (11 a.m., FSN Regional); Oklahoma vs. Texas (Noon, ABC); and Texas A&M at Colorado (6 p.m., FSN National Cable).
