LUBBOCK, Texas - Red Raider basketball fans have the opportunity to get an early glimpse of their 2006 - 2007 team on Friday, October 13, at the United Spirit Arena. Coach Bob Knight has invited university faculty, staff, and students as well as all local fans to watch the Red Raiders in their opening day of practice.
The United Spirit Arena doors will open at 6:30 PM. The USA staff will have the northwest, west, and southwest doors open to everyone wishing to attend Friday's practice. Seating will be on the lower level. Free parking will be available in the north parking lot and the parking lot west of Indiana Avenue.
Coach Knight will make opening remarks at 6:45 PM and the team will take the floor at 7 PM.
Coca-Cola will be providing free Vault and Vault Zero (12-ounce) refreshments and t-shirts.
The Red Raiders open their 2006-2007 campaign on Saturday, November 11, against Sam Houston State at 1:00 PM at the United Spirit Arena.
