LUBBOCK, Texas - Season tickets for the 2006 Red Raider football season will go on sale to general public Wed., April 12, through the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket Office located in the north end of Jones AT&T Stadium. Those who turned in seating requests in advance can learn their seat location Tue., April 11, by contacting the ticket office.
The ticket office also reported that 72 percent of last year's season ticket total was renewed during the early renewal period, reflecting 33,530 season tickets sold to date, which is ahead of last year's renewal pace. This number includes student seating and new season ticket requests. Additionally, less than 90 total club seats remain, including only 10 outdoor.
Texas Tech opens the 2006 season at home Sept. 2 against SMU and hosts Southeastern Louisiana for the second non-conference home game Sept. 23 at Jones AT&T Stadium. The home conference schedule gets underway with an Oct. 7 homecoming date against Missouri, followed by back-to-back games against Texas (Oct. 28) and Baylor (Nov. 4). The Red Raiders close the regular season against Oklahoma State on Nov. 18.
