Tech Baseball Signs Paul Gonzales To National Letter Of Intent

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Head Baseball Coach Larry Hays announced the signing of RHP Paul Gonzalez to a national letter of intent during the spring signing period.
The addition of Gonzalez increases Tech's 2007 recruiting class to a total of 13 players, of which six are pitchers.
Gonzales has been a four-year starter at Fort Worth All-Saints Episcopal School and owns a combined record of 23-11 along with three saves. He currently has 319 career strikeouts and has logged 200 innings on the mound since his freshman season in 2003. As a senior, he has posted a 4-2 record with two saves, 85 strikeouts and a 0.81 ERA.
He has been named an all-conference and All-State selection the last two seasons and was a member of the AAU National All-Tournament Team (17 & under) in 2004.
