Red Raiders Schedule Fall Scrimmage

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech and West Texas A&M will square off in a Fall scrimmage doubleheader at Rocky Johnson Field in Lubbock on Tues., Oct. 17, at 4p.m. and 6p.m.
"We're excited about the chance to host a game of two west Texas teams and are hoping that we can make this type of event an annual thing," Head Coach Teresa Wilson said of the contest. "Our kids are really motivated for the 2007 season and Fall scrimmages are a good way for them to maintain a level of playing readiness that you sometimes can't emulate in practices."
Following that, the Red Raiders will travel to Houston to compete in the College Classic, from October 13 - 15. The team will face both junior college teams and such Division I programs as Southern Miss, UT San Antonio and the University of North Texas.
"While games do not count toward NCAA competition in the spring, the experience for our freshmen and the chance for our returning players to compete against other programs is invaluable," Coach Wilson added.
