Texas Tech Head Coach Mike Leach
ON DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE IN FIRST HALF:
"I thought that it took them the first drive to adjust to what Baylor was doing. Then we came up with a great defensive play to force a turnover on the sack."
ON RUNNING BACK Aaron Crawford:
"He just goes out there and does his job; he focuses on what he's doing and doesn't let anything distract him. When he sees a hole, he hits it. And when he sees two defenders coming at him, then he splits them."
ON OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCE:
"I thought that Graham played really well, but it was really a group effort. Our offensive line played well today, and that was really the key to the game. I thought that (Michael)Crabtree played well and did some nice things. We got good distribution to our wide receivers which is really the key to this offense."
Texas Tech Running Back Aaron Crawford:
ON HIS PERFORMANCE:
"I basically just went out there and did my job. A lot of the credit goes to the offensive line. They really played well and threw a lot of great blocks. In this offense, your opportunity is going to come. With as much as we move the ball and throw the ball, you are going to get a lot of touches. I was fortunate to play well today, but again, a lot of the credit goes to the offensive line and to Graham (Harrell) for calling my number"
ON EXPERIENCE CATCHING PASSES OUT OF THE BACKFIELD:
"When I was younger, my dad and I use to work on catching screen passes. We worked on receiving a lot. As a running back in this offense, you have to be able to catch balls out of the backfield. I really look back at that experience helping me a lot."
Texas Tech Quarterback Graham Harrell:
ON TEAM PERFORMANCE:
"I thought that all sides of the ball played well. That is the first time in a couple of weeks that we have had a good all-around game. It was really good to get a win."
ON OFFENSIVE:
"We moved the ball well at times in the first half. Then we came out in the second half and executed and were able to put together several good drives in a row. The long punt return (by Danny Amendola) was really big for us. We were able to score on the next play and I think that really knocked the air out of them (Baylor)"
ON BECOMING THE FIFTH QB IN HISTORY TO THROW FOR 4,000 YARDS IN CONSECUTIVE SEASONS:
"The records are good, and getting a lot of yards is nice, but the main goal is to win. We have good wide receivers and a good offensive live that makes it a lot easier for me. It is nice to get the yardage, but I'm more excited about the win."
