
Crabtree Looks To Bring Home Biletnikoff Trophy Tonight!

ORLANDO, Fla. - Texas Tech freshman standout wide receiver Michael Crabtree will look to bring home the school's first Biletnikoff Trophy tonight as the 2007 Home Depot College Football Awards Show gets underway at Disney's Atlantic Dance Hall.
Crabtree, a native of Dallas, Texas, leads the nation in touchdown receptions (21), total receptions (125) and receiving yards (1,861) and is widely considered the favorite in tonight's race which also features Jordy Nelson of Kansas State and Mario Manningham of Michigan. No freshman has ever won the coveted Biletnikoff Trophy that is given annually to the nation's top wide receiver.
On Wednesday evening, Crabtree and the finalists for all of the awards were treated to a reception at the ESPN Club on the Disney Boardwalk. The finalists took part in online chats on ESPN.com as well as had the opportunity to mingle with the committee's from the various awards, past winners, current college head coaches and the ESPN College Gameday crew.
A total of nine awards will be presented tonight and Crabtree will also be introduced as a 2007 Walter Camp All-American. The awards show gets underway with the Red Carpet Show live on ESPNU beginning at 6 p.m. (CT) while the actual award show will be shown live on ESPN beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The show is hosted by the ESPN College Gameday Crew and features Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Mike Gleason and Melissa Knowles.
