Texas Tech Improves to 7-4

Miami, Fla. - Ashley Parker picked up four hits, scored three runs, knocked in two and stole two bases to lead the Red Raiders to an 8-1 win over the Golden Panthers of Florida International in Miami. Jennifer Corkin hit a three-run home run in the fifth to put an emphasis on the win.
Freshman Ashly Jacobs (5-3) threw four innings to pick up the win and was relieved by sophomore Alex Watkins for the final three frames. The pair scattered two hits.
Texas Tech improves to 7-4 on the season, while the Golden Panthers suffer their 11th loss in as many tries.
The Red Raiders begin play at the Floria Atlantic Tournament in Boca Raton tomorrow morning, Feb. 23, when they face Jacksonville University at 8 a.m. (CT). All games of the tournameent will be carried on Game Tracker (see the Schedule link).
