The Texas Tech Red Raiders (18-11, 7-7) tip-off against the Baylor Bears (13-14, 3-11) on Wednesday at 7:00 PM in the United Spirit Arena.
The Red Raider game is televised on the Texas Tech Television Network with Dave Shore calling the play-by-play and John Harris providing the game analysis. Coverage in Lubbock is provided by KLBK-TV (Channel 13). West Texas cable subscribers can watch the game on DISH Network (Channel 13) and Suddenlink (Channel 7). KFWD-TV (Channel 52) will broadcast the game in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. KTBU-TV (Channel 55) will air the game in Houston.
The satellite coordinates for the game are: AMC 2 Transponder K 8.
Texas Tech and Baylor meet for the second time this season and for 114th time since the series began on January 2, 1937. The Red Raiders have a 72-41 lead in the series and a 39-12 record in Lubbock. Baylor's 73-70 win earlier this season evened the series at twenty-seven wins for each team in Waco. Texas Tech has a 6-2 margin on neutral courts.
Since the last meeting between the two teams, the Bears have gone 2-9 and stand at 3-11 in conference play. Since the loss to Baylor, Texas Tech has won five and lost six games for 7 wins and 7 losses in conference play.
Darryl Dora, Jarrius Jackson, Jon Plefka, Tanner Ogden, and LucQuente White will complete their eligibility at the end of this season. Jarrius and Darryl have each played four years. Jon has played two seasons. Tanner and LucQuente have each played four seasons and both were redshirts their first season.
The Red Raiders feature two players averaging double-figures for the 2006-2007 season. Jarrius Jackson's 19.9 points per game is third in the Big 12 Conference. Martin Zeno's 16.4 points per game ranks eighth in the conference.
For each game this season, Steve Dale will call the courtside action along with Ted Chidester as analyst on the Texas Tech Sports Network (KKAM 1340 AM and KQBR 99.5 FM).
The Raiders travel to Ames, Iowa for their final conference game of the season on March 3. ESPN Plus will provide game coverage beginning at 7 PM.
