BOULDER, Colo. - In a game that saw 17 lead changes, Texas Tech couldn't hang on as Colorado handed the Lady Raiders a three-point loss tonight, 70-67, at the Coors Event Center.
Down by five with seven minutes left in the game, Tech went on a 10-0 run to go up by five points with 5:06 remaining in the contest. Colorado knotted the game at 62-62 with 2:49 to go on two free throws by Hannah Skildum. Jasmina Ilic then hit two more free throws for the Buffaloes to go up by two points. Tech then scored the next five points to take a three-point lead at 67-64 with 2:22 left on the clock. Colorado went on to score three more points in the last two minutes to claim the win.
Alesha Robertson led the way for the Lady Raiders with 21 points and nine rebounds, while Jordan Murphree and Raquel Christian finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Tech shot 49.1 percent from the field, connecting on 26-of-53 shots. Colorado outrebounded the Lady Raiders 43 to 34.
Ilic led Colorado with 27 points.
Tech had a 34-32 lead at the half.
