LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Athletics Department is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Braden as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men's Basketball. Chris joins the Red Raider basketball staff after spending the previous two seasons as the Assistant Strength Coach at the University of Texas at Austin for the men's and women's basketball programs.

"It's an honor to part of Coach Knight's program at Texas Tech. This is an incredible opportunity to work with such a great staff. The players have been working hard on their preparation for next season. Additionally, the plans for our new performance enhancement facility are well underway and the equipment has started to arrive. We anticipate the basketball teams and volleyball squad will be able to utilize the new facility at the beginning of July," commented Chris.
In addition to his work at UT, Chris also served as a graduate intern for one year with UT football and one year as a football graduate assistant strength coach.
Chris and his wife, Whitney are expecting their first child in May.
