Tech Soccer Takes On West Texas A&M Saturday

LUBBOCK, Texas - Already 1-0 this spring, the Texas Tech soccer team will look for another strong performance this weekend in Canyon, as the Red Raiders will face West Texas A&M at 1 p.m. Saturday.
In a 2-0 victory Feb. 23 over Central Florida, Maegan Wilber and Katie Hinds led the Red Raiders with a goal each, while Tina Rincon and Colleen Pitts combined for the shutout.
Tech defeated WTAMU, 2-1, in a pre-season scrimmage last season. The Lady Buffaloes finished the 2007 season 13-7-1, capturing the Lone Star Conference title and advancing to NCAA-II Tournament.
The Red Raiders will take nearly a month off before facing TCU April 5 at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas.
