Tech Suffers Four Set Loss to Baylor

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech suffered from a .147 attack percentage and dropped its second conference match to Baylor in four sets (22-25, 19-25, 25-22, 22-25).
Tech started the first set on an 8-3 run, but was unable to sustain the momentum losing 25-22. The second set saw the Red Raiders get to within one point, but faltering 25-19.
The third set showed Tech's determination as the points went back and forth with Tech winning 25-22. Baylor took the fourth set 25-22 as Tech was unable to benefit from a 5-1 run to begin the set.
Tech was led by senior Brandi Hood having 16 kills and five blocks. Senior Michelle Flores recorded double-digit kills with 12. Junior Caroline Witte continued her play form everywhere on the court as she had five kills, 32 assists, and seven digs.
Katie Sanders led Baylor with 16 kills and Anna Breyfogle had 14 kills.
The Red Raiders will travel to Denton, Texas to compete in the Spike Ike tournament on Friday and Saturday. The first match will be against Louisiana-Lafayette at 12 p.m. on Friday.
