Tech Drops Two at the Arizona Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - Tech lost its two matches of the season during the first day of the Arizona Invitational Tournament 0-3 to Santa Clara (22-25, 13-25, 21-25) and Texas State 3-0.
The Red Raiders were led by outside hitter Hayley Ball's 12 kills and a .310 attack percentage. Middle blocker Brandi Hood finished with nine kills and a .467 attack percentage. Libero Jenn Harrell recorded 12 digs in the match.
Santa Clara used a .391 team attack percentage and 12 blocks against the Red Raiders to win the match.
Tech lost the second match of the tournament 3-0 to Texas State. Stats were unavailable at time of release.
Tech will be facing the host Arizona Wildcats tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. CDT.
