Red Raiders Host Huskers on Saturday

Lubbock, TX -- The Texas Tech Red Raiders (11-9, 1-4) continue Big 12 play on Saturday evening as they host the Cornhuskers of Nebraska (12-7, 2-4) at the United Spirit Arena. The game begins at 7:00 PM.
Brad Sham will call the play-by-play. Paul Splittorff will provide the game analysis.
The game will be televised by the Big 12 Network. For the first time this season, regionally syndicated games will be televised on the Big 12 Network as part of the conference's agreement with ESPN Regional Television.
The games, previously branded as ESPN Plus, are broadcast throughout the conference's geographic footprint. Many of the Big 12 Network games will also be available as part of ESPN Full Court, the pay subscription college basketball outer-market service. In addition, numerous games will be available 72 hours after completion via the newly-redesigned Big 12 web site at big12sports.com.
In Lubbock, Saturday's game can be seen on KMYL-TV (FOX).
ESPN is also scheduled to air the game as a part of their Full-Court package. The game will be featured online via ESPN360.com -- ESPN's signature broadband sports TV network.
Mark Finkner will call the action on Saturday evening against the Huskers along with analyst Corky Oglesby on the Texas Tech Sports Network local station Sports Radio 1340.
This will be the 24th meeting between the Red Raiders and the Cornhuskers since the series began on December 9, 1955. Overall, Nebraska leads the series 14-9. The Red Raiders lead the series in Lubbock, 6-5. The Cornhuskers have an 8-3 advantage in Lincoln. Nebraska has won the only neutral site game.
The Cornhuskers have won the last two meetings. Last season, Nebraska won on their home court, 73-62.
Nebraska opened conference play with win over Missouri and then lost at Iowa State to even their record after two games. After beating KSU at home, the Huskers have lost their last three games. They lost at OU, and then lost road games to OSU and Kansas.
The Cornhuskers have two players averaging double figures for the season. Steve Harley leads his squad with 12.0 points per game. Ade Dagunduro is averaging 11.4 points per game.
Texas Tech earned their first conference victory of the 2008-2009 season with an eight-point win over Colorado (63-55) on January 20. Since then, the Red Raiders have lost their last two games on the road.
The Red Raiders dropped their most recent game to Texas A&M in College Station on Wednesday, 79-70. John Roberson and Robert Lewandowski each scored 20 points to lead Texas Tech in scoring. B.J. Holmes led the home team with 24 points.
Three Red Raiders are averaging double figures for the season. John Roberson is scoring 14.4 points per game. Alan Voskuil is averaging 13.7 points per game. Mike Singletary is adding 10.6 points per game.
The Red Raiders travel to Stillwater for Wednesday's game against Oklahoma State. The game will start at 8 PM and will be televised on ESPNU.
