Vote for Defensive Play of the Year

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech fans can go on-line at www.texastech.com to vote for the Covenant Ruff'n Tuff Defensive Play of the Year. One defensive play was selected from each game of the season and can be viewed on the Texas Tech website prior to voting.
Covenant Hospital and Red Raider Defensive Coordinator Ruffin McNeill and the defensive coaching staff teamed up prior to the season to present the Covenant Ruff'n Tuff Defensive Play of the Game. The top defensive play from each game was shown late in the fourth quarter of home games on the video board. These plays comprise the candidates for play of the year. The winning play will be announced at the annual football banquet, which will be held later in the spring.
The Red Raiders recently completed one of the greatest seasons in school history, posting an 11-2 overall record and sharing the Big 12 Conference South Division title.
