Bowl Hotel Reservations Reach Record Numbers

LUBBOCK, Texas - Record hotel reservations being made in San Antonio for Texas Tech's Valero Alamo Bowl appearance against Michigan State have allowed the Red Raider Club to extend their room blocks to the Westin Riverwalk as well as to add two additional hotels.
Texas Tech fans have additional room options; including the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Westin Riverwalk, Marriott Riverwalk and Hilton Placio Del Rio. Due to high demand, rooms at these hotels are limited but all four hotels are official Red Raider Club properties for the 2010 Valero Alamo Bowl.
Since hotel information was released on Sunday night, over 1,000 rooms have been reserved by Texas Tech faithful who will be making the trip to San Antonio to cheer on the Red Raiders.
"We have continued to work diligently with our travel partner to offer the best accommodations near the Riverwalk in San Antonio," said assistant athletics director Amy McBride. "We now have four of the best properties available to Red Raider Club members at great reates. All four of these hotels will be exceptional destinations for our members."
All four hotels are located on the famous San Antonio Riverwalk and are within walking distance of the Alamodome.

Texas Tech and Michigan State will kickoff at 8 p.m. (ESPN) on Saturday, Jan. 2, inside the Alamodome in what will be the Red Raiders' third appearance in the Valero Alamo Bowl. Tickets can be purchased online at www.texastech.com or by calling (806) 742-TECH.
