Tech to Take on Arizona and Rice This Weekend

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team hosts the Arizona Wildcats on Thurs., Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center and then faces Rice at 11 a.m. on Sun., Feb. 15.
The Lady Raiders head into the weekend with a 2-2 record after a tough loss to Denver on Sunday. Tech has three student-athletes with records of 3-1 as Samantha van der Drift, Simone Templeton and Stefanie Peana have started strong. The No. 1 doubles team of van der Drift and Kelsey Garland are shooting to get back on track after a loss last weekend.
Arizona brings a record of 3-0 into the match and No. 69 Rice is 7-1 on the season. Rice's only loss of the season came to Tech's Big 12 foe and No. 28 Texas.
