2006-2007: Received All-Big 12 singles honors as a sophomore ... spotted a 24-14 overall singles record, 6-5 in Big 12 ... with 24 wins fell into Tech's record book, tied for third in single season singles victories ... played No. 1 position for the Lady Raiders after filling No. 4 and 5 the year before ... posted a 15-7 duals record in the spring, facing four ranked opponents ... was 10-4 at home, 8-1 in indoor matches on the season ... doubled with teammate Janet Durham for a 12-6 overall record... pair went 4-0 playing No. 2 doubles before moving into the No. 1 spot ... duo tabbed a 10-2 home record, 12-6 overall, 6-4 in the Big 12... van der Drift also teamed with Kerryn Potgieter in two matches, going 1-1 ... named Academic All-Big 12 first-team and ITA All-Academic team.
2005-2006: In the fall went 10-9 in singles in her debut as a Red Raider...paired with Cigdem Duru in doubles ending the fall with a record of 11-6...during the regular season had an overall record of 6-9 in singles action, going 2-2 in the no. 4 position and 4-7 in the no. 5 position...went undefeated in doubles pairing with Cigdem Duru, 2-0, and Anne-Sophie Fankam, 1-0.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Sint Joris in Eidnhoven, Holland ... played varsity tennis.
Personal: Born July 1, 1987 ... daughter of Peter and Fernanda van der Drift ... enjoys music, reading and having fun with friends ... hopes to make good results with the team and improve her tennis and to finish her studies.
