Red Raiders Meet Aggies on Saturday

Lubbock, TX - The Texas Tech Red Raiders (12-14, 2-9) host the Aggies of Texas A&M (18-8, 4-7) at the United Spirit Arena on Saturday afternoon at 5:00 PM.
The game will be televised on the Texas Tech Television Network. In Lubbock, the game can be seen on KAMC-TV (ABC) with The Pat Knight Pre-Game Show beginning at 4:30 PM.
Dave Shore will call the play-by-play. John Harris will provide the game analysis.
The Fox Sports Network (FSN) will provide statewide coverage via satellite in all markets except Lubbock.
The satellite coordinates for Saturday's game are AMC 15, Transponder K 8.
ESPN is also scheduled to air the game as a part of their Full-Court package. The game will be featured online via ESPN360.com -- ESPN's signature broadband sports TV network.
Mark Finkner will call Saturday's action against the Aggies along with analyst Corky Oglesby on the Texas Tech Sports Network local station Sports Radio 1340.
Texas Tech and Texas A&M are meeting for the 119th time since the series began on December 17, 1941. Overall, Texas Tech leads the series 63-55. Texas Tech has the edge in Lubbock, 36-17. A&M has won 34 of 56 games in College State. The Red Raiders have a 5-4 margin on neutral courts.
Texas A&M is 18-8 for the season and 4-7 in Big 12 play. The Aggies have four players averaging double figures for the season. Josh Carter leads his team with 13.2 points per game. Donald Sloan is next with 11.5 points per game. Bryan Davis scores 10.8 points per game and Chinemelu Elonu drops in 10 points per game.
In College Station earlier this season, the Aggies held a three-point lead at the half, 43-40. Red Raider John Roberson had 16 points at the half while A&M's B. J. Holmes scored 15 points.
Texas A&M outscored Tech in the second half by six points (36-30) to earn the 79-70 win on their home court. The score was tied three times and the lead changed seven times.
John Roberson and Robert Lewandowski each scored 20 points for Texas Tech. B.J. Holmes led Texas A&M in scoring with 24 points.
Texas Tech committed seven turnovers against Texas A&M in College Station. The Red Raiders had a season-best of six turnovers against Stephen F. Austin.
Sophomore John Roberson leads the squad with 14.1 points and 6.6 assists per game while Alan Voskuil is dropping in 13.9 points and shooting 44.9 percent from beyond the three-point line. Mike Singletary is averaging 10.8 points off the bench. Junior Nick Okorie is averaging 10.4 points per game.
Senior Alan Voskuil scored 12 points in the last game and now has 1,010 points in his career. He is the thirty-second Red Raider to join the 1000-Point Club and the seventh player to reach that level since Pat Knight has been either the head coach or an assistant coach at Texas Tech.
Texas Tech plays Texas in Austin next Wednesday before returning home for their final two home games of the 2008-2009 season. The Oklahoma Sooners are in town on Saturday, February 28 at 2:30 PM. The Kansas Jayhawks are at the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday, March 4 at 8:30 PM.
