- Texas Tech improved to 4-0 on the season and its marks the school's first 4-0 start since 2005.
- UTPA leads the all-time series 20-18 but the Red Raiders have won the last five in the all-time series.
- The Red Raider pitching staff allowed just 14 runs over the four games this weekend and that marked the fewest amount since 1999 when Tech allowed just 11 runs in four games against Howard University.
- Senior RHP AJ Ramos picked up his first win since an 11-5 win over Northern Illinois on March 8, 2008.
- Texas Tech completed its first weekend sweep at Dan Law Field since taking all three games against Missouri in 2006.
