- Chris Richburg's two-run home run in the fifth marked his fourth dinger (team-high) of the season.
- Junior Logan Leslie hit a pinch hit home run in the eighth and that was his first in a Texas Tech uniform.
- Junior shortstop Joey Kenworthy went 3-for-5 at the plate and it marked his second-straight, three-hit game.
- Freshman Garrett Totten made his first career start and saw his first action of the season after missing the first 10 games of the year while recovering from a broken hand. The results were mixed for Totten as he committed two defensive errors but drove in one run in the fourth on a single down the first base line.
