GAME NOTES
- Oregon State now leads the all-time series against Texas Tech 2-1 and has won the last two meetings.
- Junior shortstop Joey Kenworthy extended his current hit streak to six games with his single in the top of the first inning. He has now hit safely in 12 of Tech's 14 games this season and that is the best ratio of any Red Raider hitter in the lineup. He added his first triple of the season in the top of the third and that led to Tech's second run of the morning. Kenworthy leads the team with eight multiple-hit games and has posted four multi-hit games in the last five contests.
- Senior first baseman Chris Richburg hit his second home run of the Palm Springs Invitational and his fifth of the season in the top of the seventh to give Tech a 6-5 lead. His five home runs lead the team and ranks tied for second in the Big 12 Conference.
- Freshman right-hander Louis Head had his best outing of the season as he logged 2 2/3 innings of shutout relief. He allowed just two hits and threw 49 pitches.
