- Oklahoma now leads the all-time series 29-23-1 and has won the last two meetings.
- Freshman designated hitter Scott LeJeune, Tech's leading hitter in Big 12 play, watched his average in conference play rise to .488 as he went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the offense on the night. He belted two doubles in the game to mark a first in his brief career.
- Senior first baseman had both his 12-game Big 12 hit streak and six-game (overall) hit streak come to an end tonight as he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
- Senior RHP Brian Cloud moved into a fifth place tie with Jeff Peck (1994-97) on the school's career appearances list. Cloud has seen action in 66 games during his four-year career.
- Texas Tech's shutout loss is the second this week for the Red Raiders as UTSA handed Tech a 2-0 loss in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday in Midland. Tech's last shutout loss in Big 12 play came last season in a 1-0 defeat to No. 2 Missouri.
